in 2003 I opened Galena Beads in Historic Galena IL. in a Victorian Storefront on its pristine Main Street. Tourist flocked to Galena from all over the Midwest.
in the shop I was able to showcase beautiful Rocks and Minerals fashioned in bead forms for Jewelry design. The shop was colorful, full of samples that were for sale or to create on your own. Offering Jewelry Making Workshops developed the customers interest to purchase more. Basically Galena Beads was the ultimate Bead Store to shop at and to learn at.
The State of Illinois awarded Galena Beads with its first Innovate Illinois Grant for Creative Businesses.
The talent of the Galena Beads Designers were sought after and featured on cover's of the top Beading Magazines and exhibited their artistry in major Beading Book Publications.
